Broken Blood by Heather Hildenbrand, review

Holy smokes. This series became like the perfect series! I am definitely having a book hangover right now!

I mean Broken Blood just blew me away. Such an amazing ending. I laughed, i cried, i cried some more. Fell in love. #TeamWes won, and i knew it was meant to be but i do love me some Alex. And i could tell there was something betwen him and Angela when they met. And that's okay. But i still like me some #TeamAlex. Tara came such a long away from Dirty Blood and grew up so much between what? That year-two years? Very strong character. I definitely bought the paperbacks. So worth it. Total *****5 STARS***** the whoel series was epic. Adventure, danger, mystery, passion, friendship, everything you could ask for. It's a YA (Young Adult) paranormal romance series. You k now, teenage agnst and what not. I'm like snap. It's over. It will definitely be apart of my reread collection!

I thought watching my Werewolf boyfriend get arrested for murder was the worst experience of my life. But then I was knocked out and dragged off to a cell of my own by the very people who were supposed to protect me from danger.

I thought being held prisoner in solitary confinement for weeks on end was the worst experience of my life. But then a visitor came, and I realized I’d been wrong all along. There are worse things than torture and death. Much worse.

He wants my blood. More than that, he wants to get into my head. To use my bond to control his army, to wipe the world clean of anything with dirty blood. I can’t let that happen, but if I don’t he’ll kill every single person I’ve ever cared about—beginning with my Werewolf pack.

The prophecy said I would have to make an impossible choice, but I must be doing this wrong—so far every choice I’ve made has only led to more pain and danger and death. Hunters are pitted against Werewolves and I’m alone in my war against Gordon Steppe. I can’t fight him off anymore; all I can do is try to keep him out of the important places. And I’m failing at even that.

I thought the demons were out there, clearly marked and clinging to the shadows. But they’re not. The monsters are within the ranks of those sworn to protect. The enemy is among us.

And while i don't have any highlights, every part of this book was my favorite. I didn't put it down! Just total AMAZEBALLS!

L8ers, baby! Happy reading!

Blood Rule by Heather Hildenbrand, review

I'm like. Flabbergasted. I have a bad feeling when I read book 5 I'm going to have a book hangover like bad. I swear if I cry. I'm gonna have issues. Book 4 Blood Rule just totally threw me under the bus. It's got action, deep feels, love, tragedy, you name it. I couldn't put it down. It was a very good read. I read it in like 2 hours which surprises me because I haven't read a full length novel like that since Patti Larsen's HCN's. Great next chapter in Tara's whirlwind life. Stuck between #TeamWes and #TeamAlex   Idk who I want her to be with more. Wes or Alex and it should be Wes but then Lawx is such a strong alpha character on his own. I can't wait to continue to book 5 Broken Blood. I'm so like. Scared shitless to finish this series. I hate reading th least book in a series. Major feels and I haven't even read it yet hut I'm gonna. So gonna.

Forty-six.
That’s how many hybrids survived the Hunter attack in the woods after I revived them with an injection of my blood. That’s how many followed me home to Frederick Falls. And that’s how many were now mentally linked to me through a blood bond.

Two days. Three valium. Fourteen hours of sleep.
That’s what it took to realize I wasn’t losing my mind as a result of the noise in my own head.

Sixteen.
That’s how many days have passed since I almost killed Alex. That’s how many days I’ve sat by his bedside, waiting for him to wake up. To ease the guilt, to understand his betrayal, to remember the exact shade of brown in his eyes.

Zero.
That’s my chances of skating by with Gordon Steppe and the Hunter Council. They want me for questioning. I’m afraid what’ll happen if I give them answers.

..::My highlights::..

This just made me laugh. Love the Godfrey women.

Sad scene. I definitely felt like crying right here. Even though I hoped they'd go back. Emotional moment here.

Very powerful words here. So true.

I totay live Cam. She's like loyal to a fault. She really is an awesome secondary character. Their friendship is solid.

Like unsaid. Tara is an all in, guts and glory kind of girl. Leads with her heart when she should at least think about the consequences but she does it because she loves her people.

Great read. Go pick it up!! Book 1 is free!!!

Now to book 5! L8ers, baby!

Blood Bond by Heather Hildenbrand, review

Holy moly. This book has definitely brought out some major feels. I couldn't put it down! The jury is still out about this triangle. #TeamWes or #TeamAlex - it really instill up in the air. Even with that ending. Ooh, Alex you are a bad boy. The third installment has left me reeling and in so glad the whole series is out. Can not wait to dive into book 4!!

Hybrids.

If I had to choose one word to sum up all of my problems, this would be it. Without hybrids, I wouldn’t have to watch my best friend slowly becoming a monster. Without hybrids, I could let go of the mentality “hunt or be hunted.” CHAS wouldn’t be scouring the Earth, intent on slaughtering and using Alex to do it. Without hybrids, I wouldn’t have to be on guard that losing my temper meant losing my shape. There would be no monster inside me, struggling to get out.

Then again, without hybrids, I wouldn’t have Wesley St. John.

Tht ending? I'm heading straight for book 4! L8ers, baby!

Cold Blood by Heather Hildenbrand, review

Oh. Mama. This series is really sucking me in. I barely get any sleep! I couldn't put it down though. Incredible second installment. Cold Blood had me glued to each page! And I get to meet this woman @ UtopYA in June. That's like oh me gee to the max. If you haven't picked up your copy of this book, get it. If you haven't even started the series, BOOK 1 IS ***FREE*** so get it. I'm not into the YA most of the time but I do like the paranormal aspect. Tara's character is a real in-your-face guts and glory, all in kinda girl that has been shoved into this world of Were's & Hunters and being a hybrid has its own challenges. At the end of book two, you totally see Tara's life change. I know it's for the better. She has some amazing destiny and I can't wait to continue reading!

Blood bond here I come!!

Wood Point Academy is not at all what I expected.

For one thing, it looks like a cross between military school and Buckingham Palace. Everyone stares, the floors shine so bright you can see your reflection in them from a mile away, and no one smiles. Unless they're kicking your butt in the process.

At least I've got plenty to take my mind off the fact that my psycho cousin, Miles De'Luca, keeps calling and declaring his love and promising to come for me just as soon as he's destroyed anyone standing in our way. Wes isn't going to like that idea. So between Miles, Wood Point's evil welcoming committee, and the drill sergeant hottie trainer from hell, I just keep asking myself, how did I end up here?

My highlights

I love Edi. She's the grandma you'd wish for even though she can make you crazy. And the whole thing about her Ina hummer? LOVE IT!

I really like Alex's character. Idk who I want to win Tara. I admit, I am on the fence. #TeamWes or #TeamAlex ?!?! Tibia hard to tell. Hopefully book 3, blood bond will help me choose from those two yummy book boyfriends!

Happy reading!!! Peace!

Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand, review

I've been totally reading nothing but paranormal YA. Crazy right? Thought I'd read the Dirty Blood series. Again. I think I've read the first two or three books. That I hated waiting. If you're a reader you know this struggle. Lol. It is so REAL.  So...before inhabit really gotten into this book. Have it a 4 STARS's but now that I have gotten into the whole YA (young adult) paranormal romance/teen whatever it is, I thought I'd reread the series.

I really loved reading this book. Dirty Blood was an awesome read. Once again, I was up all night reading. I could NOT put it down. Excellent read for young adults!

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that’s not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can’t seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted–and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That’s about the time I went into shock. And that was the moment he showed up.

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And two, I was born to kill them.

**Fans of YA Paranormal, Hunters, Shifters, and Werewolves will love the Dirty Blood series!**

I will say that I'm happy and loving reading this series I will be buying the paperback. Hopefully-maybe miss Higginson sells signed copies!!!

My highlights

Loved that. And that's how it should be. No man should make a girl feel she should be last. Right on, Tara!! #HighFive

I really just loved that part. Who does have one of those fancy cars huh? Not this gir. Until later!

Happy reading!! Peace!!

My WIP! Who wants my WIP! Heehee sex humor

Sooo...if anybody has been following me on my Facebook author page, I've been doing a serious amount of writing. So much that I wrote a book that I had planned on writing--say, next year! In 18 days and it's a full length novel. I was like so blasted with this idea which was inspired by--- Carrie Underwood's song 'Little Toy Guns'

It like shot off like a bottle rocket--no synopsis, no cover--although I had this one image in y mind that fueled it, in which the models--yes actual models will be photographed!! One that I even met Don Allen -- whenever it can be taken! I'm so excited that I was able to write like a crazy wildwoman. Technically it was 15 days because I took a weekend from writing and read. As per my previous blog entries. Okay getting off topic. Well that  book, Cross My Heart will be released after extensive proofreading, editing etc. and of course I needs the cover. Lol. But I am trying to work on my HOT HOUSTON NIGHTS: Grant and Pippah parts 1-3 books 1 & 2 are done, part 1 will be released May 1st! Check out goodreads page for more info! Here's a teaser!

I love me some Grant! How 'bout y'all?

Anyways... So I'm back to writing His Second Chance, on that was inspired by Jason Aldeans's 'Tryin to Love Me'

Let's just say, I'm on a roll. I also have the COVER!! Not revealing it until I'm ready but here's a sneak peak. No you really can't tell. But O'well!!

Here's a snippet quote too! (Beckett & Kellan- Kellan's POV)

“Kellan. I need you. I need your help.”
I nodded. Would I ever really be able to say no to this man?
“Look at me.”
I looked up into his green eyes and saw kindness with a heavy dose of raging fire. For me. I could see the want in his eyes. I’m sure there was want in my own.
°°°

I fell in love with this photo when I saw it on iStock and I'm hoping and praying not many people or any people have this. I strive to make sure my covers are different. Bound was an unlucky photo. But still beautiful. Anyway. I've got a 60k goal-- with 28,149 word count total. My daily goal is 2k a day. Hey I got shit I have to do. I was SEVERELY surprised when I wrote Cross My Heart in like just a few weeks. Gavin & Evony (the leads in CMH) were just blocking everyone else out in my character world part of my brain! So there you have it!

Have a great week! L8ers!!

Obumbrate by Alivia Anderson, review

The second installment was just as good as the first. I totally couldn't put it down. I have definitely ordered the paperbacks. I'm excited to see where this series is going. Book 2 left off in a precarious place. What is Essie going to do now? And not to mention that kiss w/ Kayden. Woot? Loved it. Even though only moments earlier it was like she almost was going to kiss Ari. The other Nephilium. But she feels a pull to him too. I'm definitely #TeamKayden all the way. demon or not!!!

Essallie Hanley just wishes her life could go back to normal. But what's normal when you carry the burden of knowing you're a half-angel created for war, that the only person who can help you is a demon still waiting to kill you, and that your only chance for salvation rested in a boy who died in front of you?

If Essallie had turned her back on everything she'd learned, she could have made the most of her fractured life. That is, until Kayden told her that she's a ticking time-bomb; that at any given moment her blood could betray her, her veins burning her alive from the inside out until nothing but ash remains.

Desperate to find answers, and possibly find her only chance for survival, Essallie heads back for New York City, back to the place where it all began. With every answer comes a price, and with every price the risks and rewards become greater. But when Essallie soon finds herself the target of an unknown hunter determined to have her, all appears to be at wits' end. Until Ari, a man claiming to be Nephilim, steps in. Charming, gentle, and boldly brave, he seems to be exactly what Essallie needs.

Could Ari be the missing piece of her puzzle, or is he the promise of her demise?

In the first installment of the Illumine series Essalie learns that she is more than just your normal teenage girl. The boy who follows her around is more than what he sees and i know this is a YA *Young Adult* book but I love the spark that happens between them. Can't wait to read book 2!

Scorch by Kaitlyn Davis, review

What the fuck just happened? I'm like what happened? I am #TeamTristan ! All the way. What happened with boon four? I mean really? This book totally put me on a roller coaster of swirling emotions that kept me glued in but at the same time coming to a conclusion that I did not want. How could she even? The nerve! The series is super great but I did not see that ending. Not at all I mean. Idek. I. Don't. Even. KNOW! I'm like literally speechless. I loved how Kira came a long way--stringer and totally secure in her final ending but I just. I just. No words. My review is like a lot about mumbling. Because I don't even know what to say. I am so mixed feelings about how the Midnight Fire series ends its like. Idek.

It's a great Young Adult series. Definitely worth it. I'm getting the paperbacks. But still. #teamTristan! Ms Davis you just broke my heart. ripped it to freaking cracking sheds. :/

From bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis comes a paranormal romance perfect for fans of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Scorch is the fourth and final book in the thrilling Midnight Fire Series.

"All it did was remind Kira that time was running out. That she needed to choose. Or a lot more than a forest would burn. The whole world would crumble."

Aldrich escaped...again. Tristan forgot...everything. And Luke, well, Luke was getting more than a little impatient. But those were the least of Kira's concerns, because something else happened in England--something she was trying desperately to forget. A wedge of evil had lodged itself in her heart, a little black hole had nestled into her flames, and it wasn't going away--not anytime soon...and maybe not ever.

The first book in the series, Ignite, is available for FREE!

So I'm totally hungover with shock from reading so it's time to get writing! Happy reading and stay awesome!

L8ers, baby!

Blaze by Kaitlyn Davis, review

Holy Quacemole! Book 3 had me totally on edge. I'm in total shock about that ending? If you've read it you know what I mean! Omgee. This series has taken a turn and idk if it's going to end up like how I want it but in going to dive in. No holds barred. Wish me luck!!

"Kira gulped, unable to stop the growing sense that everything in her world was about to change."

With Aldrich's note burning a hole in her pocket, Kira is off to England to finally reunite with her birth mother. But what begins as a dream quickly turns to a nightmare and Kira is left questioning everything she has ever known. Can she be the conduit Luke wants her to be? Can she be the rebel Tristan needs her to be? Or is she something else? Something no one, not even Aldrich, ever saw coming...

The first book in the series, Ignite, is available for FREE

Sorry no high lights read this like super quick. Like 2 1/2 hours quick! Until next time w/ book 4!!
Stay sweet! L8ers!

Simmer by Kaitlyn Davis, review

Love reading (this instance, rereading) this series. I'm happy to say I love how Kira is finally taking charge of her destiny as she learns more about herself. What happens at the end? Amazing and I can't wait to see where she goes next. Love Tristan & Kira. Luke plays a good third in their triangle. Which I dislike love triangles and I don't think that's where the series is going. It's focusing more on Kira & what's happening about her being a mixed-breed. Really good installment to this series can't wait to dive into Blaze (book 3)

As of 4.23.15 Simmer is only $0.99 on amazon

FOR A LIMITED TIME: Simmer is on sale for only 99cents! Save $2!

From bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis comes a paranormal romance perfect for fans of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Simmer is the second book in the thrilling Midnight Fire Series.

"Slowly, like a whisper almost blown away in the wind, two words streaked across her mind: 'Kiss me.'"

Kira may have survived the eclipse, but her troubles are far from over. She's headed to Sonnyville with one goal in mind: to learn more about her parents. But with Luke and Tristan competing for her heart and Diana gunning for her head, time is running out on the search for her mother. And the closer Kira gets to answers, the more terrified she becomes. The conduits fear her, the vampires fear her, and Kira is starting to wonder if maybe they're right...
