By His Game Series Review

First off, I was very hesistant to read the series. I read Emma Hart 's Holly Woods files (reviews in previous posts) And reading not necessarily new authors, but authors that I'm not too sure about reading. I'm used to books by Maya Banks, Lora Leigh, Lauren Dane, Lisa Kleypas, Candace Camp, etc. And in a way I feel bad that I didn't get this series until she posted them at $0.99 each *at timing of post 1.12.15 they are still only $0.99 GO GRAB THEM!) But it's just difficult for me to branch out. When I read the HWF's I was in love with her style of writing and the characters lept from the page and captured my heart. When a book makes this bitch cry...and get the feels as if i'm on my period, than the author is definitely in the BUY AN READ HER BOOKS list in my life.

Also, her characters where in their early to mid 20's, which i don't really read. While reading these books, the male counterpart felt as if they were in their late 20's early 30's. The way they were all he-man sexy alpha male-ish. and in my head, that's what they were. I just couldn't picture them being in their mid 20's. But that's my own thing. This series is AMAZING!

*****5 STAR SERIES*****

I couldn't put the books down. I read them all quickly and mostly through the night, losing precious REM time. But trust me when i say, it was well worth it.

The first book, Blindsided, took me a few chapters to get into because it's a different genre I'm reading from this author. It's not like the HWF's. BHG series totally blew me away. I loved every minute of reading this series. By book #2, Sidelined---O. M. G. YES! I loved Macey and Jack's story even better than the first. It is my favorite out of the whole series. Riveting and sexy and all hot, sexy alpha male sexiness...Then book #3, Intercepted is the next favorite book. Loved the best friend dynamic to it. Very hot very sexy and very emotional. You can definitely tell these characters had a life of their own and I was so enraptured that i felt connected to these characters. Definitely the BEST first books I've read in 2016. And with my own writing schedule, readiing can be difficult. This series is amazing and I can't wait to read more from her!

Sidelined #2

Sidelined Review

Synopsis:

Warning: this book contains a ridiculously sexy alpha male, a strong, feisty heroine, and probably an overuse of the f-bomb.

Three people. Three motives. Three reasons.
When the game leaves the field in the second book in the USA Today bestselling BY HIS GAME series and mixes with sex, lies, and betrayal, the future isn't the only thing on the line...

Macey Kelly has sworn off men. Unless they’re going to zip in and out of her apartment—and her vagina—quicker than they can give her an orgasm, she’s not interested. Finding out her boyfriend of three years got her cousin pregnant was a total confidence knock. Luckily for Macey, confidence is something she has in abundance, so all Mitch’s asshole move did was make her pretty cynical toward men.

The last thing Jack Carr needs at the start of the season is for a dark-haired, sexy as sin, gyspyesque beauty to be consuming his thoughts. Football is his life, which leaves no time for girls. Unless they’re the love ‘em and leave ‘em girls. Becoming one of the best running backs the league has ever seen by racking up the yards is his top priority… not bedding Macey Kelly, despite her affinity for blow jobs and total sexual abandon.

Avoiding each other is the perfect solution, but when your best friends are in a serious living together kind of relationship, that isn’t always an option. Sometimes, sex on tap is the easiest option. And the sweetest.

Until Mitch shows up with a bombshell that could shatter Macey’s perfectly carved out life. It’s been a year, but he isn’t giving her up, not now he has a chance at winning her back. And he knows her buttons. Every single one of them.Unfortunately for him, Jack Carr isn’t a loser. The star running back has his eye on the Vince Lombardi—and on Macey. But seeing her hanging between them both isn’t something he’s down with, not when he discovers why she’s so against anything more-ish, as she puts it.

Macey quickly realizes she’s the ball being passed between two desperate yet opposing teams, and that only one of them can score the touchdown. But will the winner be the guy she lived with and loved for three years, or will the winner be the guy who understands her and makes her body come alive?
In this game, someone will be sidelined, and calling the play isn’t always as easy as it seems.
